Goodnight, Moon.
Up above there was a clear blue sky
A sky I couldn’t touch
At night it turned to black,
With a bunch of tiny white dots.
There were stars.
Beneath a blank sky,
The shine would take my breath away.
They showed me beauty,
Mystery...
A vision of the unknown.
My life was beneath a blank sky,
A sky where the shine took my breath away.
But bewildered was I when the stars turned off,
Leaving the sky a blank, empty abyss of black velvet.
There was a moon once.
Shined brighter than any star.
A light in the darkness, as I would have called it.
Oh but darling, it was so much more than that.
This moon whispered lullaby's of the strangest kind,
